We are looking for two new committee members - one with a particular focus on communications and another to help lead our blues scene!

Communications committee member

We're looking for someone enthusiastic, organised, and keen to help support the running of the scene. This role has a strong focus on communications, including:

• Writing and sharing newsletters

  
  

• Keeping on top of announcements and community updates

  
  

• Helping with our social media and promoting events

  
  

• Making sure our members stay informed and engaged

  
  

Beyond communications, we'd love someone who's happy to get stuck in with the wider running of the community. This may include:

• Helping out at our weekly classes when needed

• Supporting festivals and special events

• Bringing fresh ideas and contributing to the growth of our dance scene

There may also be an opportunity to become part of our Safety Secretary team for anyone interested in helping us maintain a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment.

You don't need to have done this before—we're looking for someone who is reliable, proactive, enjoys working as part of a team, and genuinely cares about our community.

Blues Secretary

We’re looking for an enthusiastic blues dancer who is keen to help run our Monday blues and build our scene! You’ll be working with a lovely team of blues teachers and our committee while being the link between blues and wider swing scene.

This role involves key tasks such as:

• Being a lead contact between the wider swing scene and blues scene

  
  

• Working with our teachers and DJs to run our Monday classes/socials

  
  

• Working with the committee to create amazing blues CLX afterparties

  
  

• Scene building and supporting interest in blues in Cambridge and beyond.

You don’t need to be an experienced dancer but be powered by a love blues that genuinely cares about the community and would like to see it go from strength to strength.
