Save the Fast Dance is back for a fourth year of Balboa and Shag in January 2027!

New year, but our recipe stays the same: 2 sets of main teachers, 2 sets of taster class teachers, 4 socials, live bands, and ALL the fast music we can offer to dance away those January blues...

We'll have parties on Thursday (pre-party), Friday, Saturday and Sunday, plus two packed days of classes. You can choose to take classes in just Balboa, just Collegiate Shag, or some of each to really expand your fast dancing repertoire!

More info coming soon!

Tickets

Tickets will go on sale on 1st October 2026 at 19:00 (UK time). Full passes (socials and lessons) cost £155, and social only passes will cost £65.

Tickets will go on sale via the DanceCloud online platform. See Dancecloud's own information about how this works. Note: when requesting tickets on Dancecloud, you are requesting all of the tickets you ask for, so Dancecloud will only make you an offer of tickets if it can offer you all of them, i.e. it will treat requests for multiple tickets as a group booking.

We believe that everyone should have access to opportunities to dance and learn, no matter your financial situation. To that end, we are offering some discounted passes to this event for those who otherwise would be unable to afford to attend. The code ACCESSTOCLASS will reduce the full pass to £115, and the code ACCESSTOPARTY will reduce the social pass to £50. Please email welfare@cambridgeswingdance.com with any questions on these passes.

T-shirts

This edition's festival shirt features a design dedicated to Artie Shaw's "Back Bay Shuffle", created especially for us by artist and local dancer Gena Hudkova. Gena, who also designed our festival logo, brought her unique style and her connection to the song into this piece. We'll share the design very soon!

T-shirts can only be ordered through our online ticketing platform. To reduce waste, they will not be available for purchase during the festival weekend.

Venue

The weekend will be held at Storey's Field Centre in Eddington on the outskirts of Cambridge. There is free parking in the local park and ride facility, and buses go there regularly from the station and city centre.

Safer Spaces Policy

We aim to be a welcoming, supportive and friendly organisation and to look after everyone at our festivals. Cambridge Swing Dance is signed up to the S.T.E.P.S code of conduct and related procedures. For more information on this, please read our safer spaces policy:
