Classes

Classes will be offered in Balboa and Collegiate Shag at 2 levels, please be honest when reading the descriptions as all classes will be aimed at challenging you and developing you as dancers.
There will be tasters offered, so if you want to try another dance or learning something else there will be the opportunity. We encourage everyone to ask everyone to dance, so a knowledge of the basic step for Shag and Balboa would be beneficial even if you only take classes in one dance.
The weekend is not open to complete beginners as the basic steps will not be taught.

Curious
You've been dancing this dance for a year, with regular classes and social dancing at least once a week. You might have attended some weekend workshops and even a festival in this dance. You're excited when hearing a fast song come on, but the top tempos still feel a bit out of reach. You want to develop your fluency, connection, musicality and efficiency in this dance.
Obsessed
You've been dancing this dance for at least 2 years, regularly social dancing and practicing at home or in small group settings. You have attended multiple festivals focused on fast dancing, including international festivals, and are happy dancing most of the evening in this dance. When a fast song comes on, you're one of the first on the dancefloor. You are undaunted by any tempo, and confident dancing with any partner in this dance. You are putting in musical breaks and playing with rhythms, and are developing your own styling and moves.
The weekend is not open to complete beginners as the basic steps will not be taught.
Taster classes
Taster classes will be announced closer to the festival
